Area

The Sunnyfield Campsite is nestled in the heart of the Kent Downs, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and close to the coast. Surrounded by idyllic countryside, overlooking fields, a valley and teeming with wildlife all around.

It is a stress-free environment, a great place to unwind and just relax

Garden of England

This beautiful site provides access to fantastic walking and biking from your doorstep with the nearby North Downs Way and excellent cycle routes. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the peaceful and secluded location. Being in the “Garden of England” we are surrounded by an abundance of delicious local produce to enjoy whilst watching the sun going down.

Campervans

Campervans are welcome in the campervan zone but please note we are totally off grid so we cant offer any electrical hook ups or any hard standing

Cars

We keep the campsite free from cars. Wheelbarrows are available to carry you kit to and from carpark

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please note we are a peaceful family site. (yapping and wayward crapping not welcome!)

Campfires

ALL pitches have an area directly on the ground to burn logs that we sell. We also hire out a limited number of fire bowls with a grill to cook over separate to the fire pit.

Disposable BBQ

Disposable BBQ’s are NOT welcome. Why? Disposable barbecues contain charcoal, which is normally unsustainably sourced, contributing to the desertification of forest. Disposable barbecues can’t be recycled or composted, meaning that for each one sold in the UK each year – estimated at over a million – new waste committed to landfill. Disposable BBQ scorch the grass leaving a bald patch in the pitch for the next campers.

10 miles away is a couple who live in the woods, they manage their own wood, land coppice their woods and create there own charcoal that we sell, its incredible we support them and all they stand for and ask you to do the same.

Don’t support the disposable BBQ market it contributes to tons of landfill

Pitches

In the top field we have 26 pithes of different sizes; single, double and triples. Worth noting that if your booking separately but want to camp together just let us know, and we will pop you all together. Our pitches can accommodate most sized tents and we hope you create your own unique camp.

We can also mix and match campervans and glamping with your group let us know and depending on availability we shall do our best to help

To ensure that you have the space and peace to enjoy your stay here, each pitch whether large or small is separated from neighbouring campers by wild grass and meadow flowers.

There is plenty of space in the 8 acre field.

The site is situated towards the top of the hill and benefits from all day long sun (subject to availability!)

If you don’t tell us you are camping with friends we will not know and you could end up on opposite sides of the meadow – help us to help you

Please only use ground barbecues in the fire pit area, to avoid damaging our lovingly tended grass.

Pick up and dispose of any litter you drop or find and pop it in the appropriate recycle bin.

Peace and tranquillity

Please keep all noise to an absolute minimum after 10:00pm.

The campsite is a place to chill so no loud noise or music at any time, and we ask even though all pitches are well spaced out we still ask you to go past other pitches respectfully.

Wildlife

The collecting of firewood from the woods surrounding the site is not allowed, as the land belongs to others and we don’t want grumpy neighbours.

Safety

We do not allow fireworks or Chinese lanterns due to the risk of fire.

The Sunny Field Campsite is surrounded by beautiful countryside filled with unusual plants and animals. However, this brings with it the risks associated with wild animals and poisonous plants.

We accept no responsibility for any injuries or illness that you suffer as a result of bites, stings or from eating or playing with poisonous plants. If in any doubt, please always ask us.

Pets

We allow well behaved dogs, to be kept on leads as we are surrounded by livestock.

Owners must pick up their dog’s debris as NOBODY wants to step in it!

Free range Kids

Kids remain their parents responsibility at ALL times – even if you wish they weren’t.

General

Compost Loos

Compost are loos are different to the flushing loos you have at home and therefore needed to treated differently. The biggest difference is you don’t flush your poo away. The poo gets collected with loo paper and sawdust and gets turned into compost the wee needs to be separated and several of our loos have pee separators – sadly they are not one size fits all so WE REQUEST THAT KIDS DO NOT USE THE GROUND LEVEL COMPOST LOOS

Respect what we have here at the Sunnyfield. You are responsible for any damage that you or your party make around the site.

We will not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or damage whatsoever to persons, vehicles, tents, accessories or contents during your stay with us.

Finally, for the greater good of the campsite, we reserve the right to ask anyone who is not playing by the rules or ignoring these terms and conditions to leave.

Deposits and refunds

We require a non refundable 50% deposit payment in advance for all bookings. If you decide not take your booking we will require twenty-eight days notice otherwise you will be charged the balance.
